About Us
Originally set up in the heart of Cheshire, we have had to say a heartfelt goodbye to friends and customers that have used our services over the last four years as we move our business Into Macclesfield.
Over our 5 years in the industry, we have built a reputation that we are proud of; revolving centrally around compassion, attention to detail, and a love for the dogs we work with everyday.
Since an early age, animals have been a central point in our lives, sharing spaces in all of our families. At Charlie’s Canines, this passion for animals (especially dogs!) has grown in our adult lives leading us to stay educated and informed in relation to breakthroughs in behavioural research, cognitive research, general literature relating to our four legged friends, and the ever evolving understanding of what is needed to provide them with a fulfilling and conducive environment.
We understand how every dog is an integral part of a family unit and that they have their own needs, emotions and requirements. Each dog on our books is considered part of our family, developing bonds with us and the groups that they walk with.
TESTIMONIALS
For 5 years, every weekday, Charlie walked our springer spaniel, Charlie. From the get go, he made every effort to put our Charlie, who has a very nervous disposition around men, at ease. In the space of a few weeks, he had our Charlie integrating with a new set of dog friends that matched his energy. He also got Charlie to a point where he could be off lead, which we didn’t expect as unless Charlie was out with us, he’d often run off and make his way back to our house!
He treated our Charlie like family, and often went out of his way to accommodate him or help us if we needed help. We are sad to see him moving on to a new area but excited for him to start a new chapter with his business and dogs.

Charlie walked Ted for the last few years a couple of times a week. Unfortunately Ted has real problems with his joints even though he’s still a young pup. Because of this, he can’t walk off lead, or with other dogs without getting over excited and hurting himself. Charlie made time for one on one walks for him which I know he usually doesn’t do as he walks groups. It was clear anytime I saw him and Ted together that he really cared for our dog and was very careful regarding Teds problems.
Towards the end of Charlie’s time in the Audlem area, we added a beautiful puppy named River to our roster. As she was so young, she couldn’t go out for walks, but after Charlie took Ted for his walk, he would let her loose in the back garden and spend 30 minutes engaging with her to get that puppy energy out!
We will miss Charlie and wish him the best on his new endeavours!
Tina: Ted and River
Between my husband and myself, we have a small farms worth of animals: several sheep, 3 horses, 3 dogs and around a dozen hens! This often made it hard for us to book ourselves a proper holiday, without putting the dogs into kennels and relying on friends and family to look after the rest of our gang!
Once we had met Charlie and decided to use his house sitting service, these holidays became a lot less stressful to book and gave us piece of mind when we were away. Charlie took on all the responsibilities with gusto, sending us updates and pictures most days. The dogs loved him and are always excited when he comes around as they know they are going to get a very good fussing!
